Bringing a wealth of experience spanning 23 years in roles at the Turkish Competition Authority and in private practice, Sezin represents clients in all types of competition/antitrust matters.
Before founding CoPartners, Sezin led the Competition/Antitrust practice at the international law firm, White & Case in Turkey for 12 years (2011-2023). Previously, she worked for the Turkish Competition Authority for 10 years (2001-2011) as a senior case handler/expert in competition law.
Sezin has handled hundreds of merger, acquisition, and joint venture cases to date, both on the Turkish Competition Authority side as a case handler and on the law firm side, acting as counsel. She regularly conducts multi-jurisdictional merger filing assessments and foreign direct investment (FDI) analysis and acts as coordinating counsel for merger filings in multiple jurisdictions.
She has been involved in numerous landmark competition investigations in Turkey, successfully representing investigated parties before the Turkish Competition Authority. Sezin advises clients on defence strategies and optimal outcomes through leniency applications, settlement negotiations and commitment mechanisms. She also provides guidance on managing antitrust risks in day-to day operations, designing and implementing competition compliance programmes, and delivering tailored competition law training to clients across various industries.
